On February 12th, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (NISMO) released an announcement on their plan for motorsports activities in 2015. Two companies will participate in the SUPER GT this season with the same structure as last year, four teams and four "Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500," and aim for back-to-back title in two consecutive years from last year. In GT300 class, NISMO will field "Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3" through NDDP RACING. In addition, the company will provide support to the customer teams which will compete in the series with the car.

As in last year, four Nissan teams will compete in the GT500 class. Wearing the champion number "1," NISMO will take on the challenge of consecutive title with the solid team of Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli in the driver lineup, Yutaka Suzuki as the team manager, and Michelin supplying the tire. Under Team Manager Kazuyoshi Hoshino, TEAM IMPUL will continue with Hironobu Yasuda as well as Joao Paulo de Oliveira and the tires by Bridgestone. MOLA also stays the same with Team Manager Toshiomi Oeki, Satoshi Motoyama, and Masataka Yanagida with Michelin tire. Above three teams will compete in the series with the same team structure as last year. In KONDO RACING, no change is seen in the combination of Team Manager Masahiko Kondo, Daiki Sasaki, and Yokohama Tire. However, with Michael Krumm focusing on the development of the Le Mans 24 Hour race car in the early part of the season (Round 1 - 3), Lucas Ordonez, who drove No.3 car in the GT300 class last year, will take the wheel for the team in the first three races.

In the GT300 class, No.3 car will continue to enter as NDDP RACING, which is Nissan's driver development project, this year. First driver of the team will be taken up by Kazuki Hoshino, who is also involved in the vehicle development as well as giving advice to the young drivers as their mentor, and Mitsunori Takaboshi, who also competes in F3, will assume the role of second driver in his first entry to the SUPER GT series.

Support given to the customer teams using Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 will continue to be provided as in past years.

Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery will host an event on Saturday, February 28th where the detail of Nissan's motorsports activities will be presented to the fans. Team managers as well as drivers from SUPER GT are expected to make appearance and No.1 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R and No.3 B-MAX NDDP GT-R with new liveries will be displayed at the venue.
