This time there was a lot of tension in the Q1 competition, so we were all very happy when Tsugio [Matsuda] did a great job to place 7th and get us through to Q2. In Q2, I was able to get a good time on my second flying lap. It was an intense lap in which I almost ran off the track, but fortunately I got a good time. They say there may be rain for tomorrow's race, but I want to take advantage of the fact that I will be starting from the front position on the grid to get a good flow going for us.

We had a difficult time getting the settings down in the morning practice but the team made some good adjustments for us, and the Yokohama tires were also very good. This time we will be competing with a driver team of three, and I feel that the team has gotten stronger. I will be giving it my best in the race tomorrow.
