"Tokyo Auto Salon 2017" launched on January 13th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Known as a festival of customized cars, Tokyo Auto Salon is also at the same time a staple new year's event of Japanese motorsports industry, and familiar automakers of SUPER GT, such as TOYOTA GAZOO Racing / LEXUS GAZOO Racing, Honda, Nissan, and SUBARU, have been proactive in participating in the event and showcasing exhibition booths. Not only race cars on display, but there are a number of talk shows and autograph sessions with GT drivers, making the whole event certainly a must-see to GT fans.
SUPER GT machines are on display across the venue! Next season's new machines are also shown to the public.
Automaker's booths are not the only place where SUPER GT machines are displayed. Teams and sponsors are also showing the race cars at their respective booth. What's surprising is that you can find a wide variety of cars from a championship-winning masterpiece machine to a new model of next season across the venue.
The off-season atmosphere made GT drivers friendlier and closer than usual.
GT drivers made appearances at various booths of companies related to SUPER GT which the drives are endorsed or have relationship with. Talk shows as well as a variety of attractions are also hosted at the venue.
