On July 31, 2015, GTA Co., Ltd announced the 2016 SUPER GT series schedule. The planned schedule for the coming 2016 season will feature a total of eight rounds. (Photo: 2015 season opener)
According to the announcement, the regular series will consist of the eight rounds on the same six Japanese and one foreign circuit as this year. The opening round is scheduled for April 10th (race day) at Okayama International Circuit and the final round will be held on November 13th (race day) at Twin Ring Motegi. Round seven will be the overseas race in the Kingdom of Thailand (Chang International Circuit).
