Get engaged with SUPER GT machines & drivers! Tokyo Auto Salon

With a fine weather easing the wintry cold air, Tokyo Auto Salon 2019 opened its curtain on January 11th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Known as a gala of customized cars, Tokyo Auto Salon is a staple New Year event that brings together motorsports cars and drivers. The huge venue is filled with entertaining booths of familiar manufacturers from SUPER GT, such as TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, Honda, Nissan, and SUBARU, as well as various sponsors supporting SUPER GT teams.

Along with SUPER GT machines on display, talk shows and autograph sessions by GT drivers and team managers are making the event a must-see to the SUPER GT fans.

As in last year, SUPER GT's promotional booth is also set up in the alley on the second floor of No.7 hall. No.6 WAKO'S 4CR LC500, No.8 ARTA NSX-GT, and No.3 CRAFTSPORTS MOTUL GT-R are put on display in the area. Fans can apply or renew their membership to the 2019 Supporter's Club at the booth. Membership to the Supporter's Club offers many benefits including annual pass purchase, discount on the ticket, and free invitation to a qualifying day in the 2019 season, therefore, it is highly recommended to the fan who is planning to visit a SUPER GT event at a circuit.

 

 

 

 

 

SUPER GT machines are on display across the venue! You can even find new machines in this year's livery.

 

 

Automaker's booths were not the only place decorated with SUPER GT machines. Teams and related sponsors were also showing the race cars on display at their respective booth. Moreover, fans got to see not only the cars that competed in SUPER GT last year, but also cars with brand new livery as well as new cars debuting in upcoming season.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Must see a wide variety of contents including talk show with GT drivers/team managers, pit-work experience, etc.

 

Being a staple New Year event, many GT drivers were paying a visit to the booth of the company which they are endorsed by or have relationship with. With the new season is yet to start, the drivers seemed relaxed and proactive in getting engaged with the fans, which would be a rare scene during the season. Talk shows and autograph sessions gathered a huge crowd.
