【GTA Regular Press Conference: Rd.7 Autopolis】 GTA Chairman Bandoh talks about carbon neutral fuel testing.

GTA Co.,Ltd held its regular press conference, which the organization holds at each event, in the morning of Round 7 race day. GTA Chairman Masaaki Bandoh touched on the testing of carbon neutral fuel, which is planned to be deployed from 2023, by all SUPER GT cars while he answered to the representative questions provided by Japan Motorsport-journalist Society (JMS) as well as questions raised by the journalists on the floor.

There was an announcement during the regular press conference held at the Round 4 Fuji regarding the cancellation of testing planned at the Round 5 Suzuka and a plan for holding a test after the final round Motegi, but now the chairman revealed the test will be held a day after the race day of Motegi event (November 7th) by using the fuel produced by Haltermann Carless.　Participation to the test is voluntary and any teams that wish to participate can take part in the test. Participating teams will receive 200 liters of the fuel.

　

 

 

 

 

Chairman commented that, since the fuel has already been provided to the manufacturers (automakers) and data has been captured partially, he believes the test can be carried out without an issue. He also shared GTA's plan, "We will start using (a next generation fuel) at next year's official tests, supply (the fuel) to all teams, and begin elaborating the schedule of next season by discussing with the organizers through testing on how the fuel can be supplied to the teams in the actual race situation."
