On October 3, 2023, GTA Co., Ltd. announced that a change has been made in the 2024 SUPER GT series calendar (schedule) released on August 3, 2023.
The change in the calendar involves Round 7of the 2024 series, originally scheduled to take place on October 5th and 6th at Autopolis. With the calendar change, Round 7 at Autopolis will now be held on October 19th (Sat: Official Qualifying) and 20th (Sun: Race).
The reason for the change in the SUPER GT calendar is the recently released 2024 FIM MotoGP World Championship schedule, which has the Grand Prix of Japan scheduled for the same days as the SUPER GT Round 7 at Autopolis, and in order to prevent the MotoGP and SUPER GT rounds from being held at the same time, the dates for the Autopolis round have been moved back two weeks.
