【2024 SUPER GT Regulation Revision】 Race Queen name to be changed to “Race Ambassador”

　GTA Co., Ltd., has decided the change the naming of the people who play an important role in SUPER GT, formerly known as “Race Queens,” and adopt the new naming of “Race Ambassador,” thus removing the exclusively “female” connotation within the operating rules of the SUPER GT Promotional Regulations and replacing it with an expression that carries no gender limitation.

　Until now, SUPER GT had allowed the female staff members who helped build the level of cheering for the teams and at the circuit in general as well as the PR activities of the related sponsors to be called “Race Queens.” However, in consideration for the recognition of diversity in society today, the word “queen” with its gender bias in the expression “Race Queen” will be removed and replaced by the new expression “Race Ambassador.”

　Furthermore, within its Promotional Regulations, GTA has included “Race Queen Use Rules” for the purpose of encouraging a wholesome style of promotional activities and their operating methods. Here again, places that were written with the name “Race Queen” and any expressions that limit gender to “females” are now done away with in the rules in question.

　And now, the role of the term “Race Ambassador” with no gender bias will be used to:
・Contribute to increasing awareness of the brand and products of the team sponsor corporations through their exchanges with the fans and spectators.
・Contribute to the strengthening of PR activities and spreading awareness of the cheer groups officially tied to the participating teams.
・Contribute to the public awareness of SUPER GT and the growth of the fan base by recognizing these ambassadors as members of the entrant (teams) participating in SUPER GT.
In these ways, the important role the ambassadors play as team members, just like the drivers, principles (managers) and mechanics, will be clearly shown.

　Please note that, as the name “Race Ambassador” adopted by GTA will be used in SUPER GT promotions, GTA will not make it compulsory that all the teams and related sponsors must use it.
