2016 Round 7 Thailand ZF Award goes to GT500 class' No.19 LEXUS TEAM WedsSport BANDOH

The “ZF Award” is bestowed on mechanics that display outstanding performance during race week. The winning team for the SUPER GT’s round 7 Thailand race is the number 19 LEXUS TEAM WedsSport BANDOH.

[Reason for bestowing the award]
The team maintained the car in top form throughout practice and qualifying before sending it out into the race. Their tire selection for the final battle was perfect and pit work completely error free earring the team their first victory.
The next award will be granted during round 3 (replacement for Kyushu's cancelled race) and round 8 to be held over November 11th to 13th at Twin Ring Motegi.

Chief Mechanic Mr.Koji Ikeya comment:
“This is all due to the engineers who devised a perfect setup, the drivers who utilized it and Yohokama who provided us with fantastic tires. We were able to get this result due to all the experience the team has built up together until now. We have pretty well maintained the same members since we were competing in the GT300. We have struggled to get the results we wanted since moving up into the GT500 but the steadfast teamwork from everyone got us across the line. I’m getting a little late in the years but I want to keep competing with all these guys.”
