This is my first win in some time and I'm really happy. JP (Joao Paulo Lima de Oliveira) ran at such a fast pace and extended the lead for us, but during the pit stop we lost a bit of time with the tire changing and ended up in 4th place when I got into the race. After that I had a light crash and some trouble with rubber pick-up, but in the end we ran away to a lead of more than 20 seconds over the field to take our first win of the season in true TEAM IMPUL style. I'm very happy with this.

Today's was a very stressful race. The strategy of building up a big margin of lead went very well at first, but then the Safety Car would come out and our lead would evaporate. On the last stint there was a lot of pick-up [of rubber fragments from the track] on the tires and I could hear rubber pieces hitting underneath the right front, so I was worried that this could mean big trouble. But, eventually we were able to make it to the win. With our points from placing 3rd in the last race, we are now the point leaders, so I'm very happy.

I couldn't be happier. We were able to get this second win after our victory in the opening round, but considering the fact that we started from 9th position on the grid, I honestly thought it would be very difficult [to get this win]. But, due to the fact that some of our fast rivals ran into trouble or lost ground with spin-outs, and to the tenacious driving on [Tatsuya] Kataoka's part, we were able to win. Since we are racing to win the title, this is the best possible start for the season. From here on we will be carrying a bigger weight handicap, but I want to see us keep finishing as high as possible and getting every point we can. That is the kind of stubborn attitude I will be driving with.

In the first stint I was thinking that if ran steadily in the early going we might be in good position in the latter half to try for a place on the podium. At the start of the last stint when we were [effectively] in 3rd place, I thought we had a chance of going for the win, but then on my first lap out of the pit I think I had damaged the tires a bit and that made it hard going. Still, the leading No. 0 car spun out and gave me the lead, and from there I concentrated on not letting Bjorn [Wirdheim, No. 11] pass me as I ran on to the checkered. I was really relieved when I reached the checkered still in the lead.
