  • 2013 SUPER GT Calendar (planned) announced. One race added for a total of ten

     
    INFORMATION

    On August 10, 2012, GTA Co.,Ltd announced the 2013 SUPER GT series schedule. The planned schedule for the coming 2013 season will feature one more race than the current season for a total of ten: eight regular series rounds and two non-series races.

    According to the announcement, the regular series will consist of the same eight rounds on the same six Japanese circuits and one foreign circuit as this year. The opening round is scheduled for April 7th (race day) at Okayama International Circuit and the final round will be held on November 3rd (race day) at Twin Ring Motegi. Round three will be the overseas round in Malaysia (Sepang).

    The two non-series races are planned. The first is the JAF Grand Prix/Fuji Sprint Cup (Nov. 15-17) that has been held since 2010. This event will be jointly organized with SUPER GT and Formula Nippon races. The second non-series race will be a second overseas event, an exhibition race in the Republic of Korea. It will be held on May 18th between round two of the SUPER GT series at Fuji Speedway (Apr. 29) and round three in Malaysia (Jun. 23). The course to be used is the Korean International Circuit (commonly called Yeongam Circuit) where the F1 Korean Grand Prix is held. 。

    Please note that this 2013 schedule has been filed for approval by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and changes are possible subsequent to changes in other world championship races.
