On February 4th, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) presented an outline of their motorsport activities for the 2025 season. The previous announcement of their 2025 series program given on January 17th was limited only to the GT500 class for SUPER GT, but this time the announcement extended to the full range of Nissan’s motorsport activities, including its Official Partner teams and Customer Support teams for the GT300 class. First of all, concerning the four teams that will be using the Nissan Z NISMO GT500 in the GT500 class, there were no changes in the team make-ups, but there were announcements of the teams’ machine names and coloring (illustrations). Among these, the No. 12 TEAM IMPUL will have the same basic blue color as last year, but the team’s name will be changed to TRS IMPUL with SDG Z due to the change in main sponsor from this season to TOKYO RADIATOR MFG(TRS). The overall management responsibilities for integration and supervision of the Nissan teams has been newly divided, with Shinichi Kiga (NMC Senior Vice President) continuing to oversee technical areas such as vehicle development, and Toshikazu Tanaka (NMC Corporate Vice President) handling operations and sporting areas. *Nissan (NISMO) Announces the 2025 SUPER GT Race Program As part of its activities in the GT300 class, Nissan will be providing technical support for teams participating with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, as part of its “GT3 program.” In addition to the Official Partner teams KONDO RACING (car No. 56) and HELM MOTORSPORTS (car No. 62), the teams NILZZ RACING (car No. 48) and RUNUP SPORTS (car No. 360) will also participate with one car each to bring the total to four cars competing. The tire supplier for all four teams will be Yokohama Tires. To replace Daiki Sasaki, who will be moving to the team’s car No. 3 in the GT500 class, former GT500 class champion Kohei Hirate will be joining the No. 56 KONDO RACING team, and he will team with two-time GT300 class champion Joao Paulo de Oliveira to try to win back the championship title. For the No. 62 HELM MOTORSPORTS team, the former third driver, Reiji Hiraki, will be moved up to pair with his elder brother and team owner, Yuya Hiraki. The No. 360 RUNUP SPORTS team will compete again this year with the main driver pair of Takayuki Aoki and Atsushi Tanaka. As for the No. 48 NILZZ RACING team, its drivers have not been decided at the time of this announcement. Also, for the GT300 class, in addition to the four teams that will compete with the GT-R, NMC will be providing technical support for a Customer Team competing with a Nissan machine. This will be the team that debuted from GAINER last year as car No. 11, competing with a GT300 regulation Fairlady Z (RZ34). Again this year, the first driver for No. 11 will be Ryuichiro Tomita, and he will pair with Kazuki Oki, who made a spot appearance in the final round of last season and now moves up to the position of regular driver for the team. The team will also have a new Team Principal, Mika Ishida. As with last season, the team will be running on Dunlop tires.
