Ahead of the start of the OKAYAMA GT 300km RACE, opening round of the 2026 SUPER GT series a presentation ceremony was held for the FRO vehicle, the “Patrol NISMO.” During the ceremony, a symbolic oversized key to the Patrol NISMO was presented by Yutaka Sanada, President & CEO of Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd., to Masaaki Bandoh, President & CEO of GTA Co., Ltd.

　FRO stands for First Rescue Operation and refers to rescue vehicles intended to provide an immediate response in the event of an accident during on‑track sessions or races. These vehicles are staffed by a driver, a doctor, and rescue personnel, enabling rapid emergency assistance when necessary.

　The Patrol NISMO, provided by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd., is a specially developed model based on the powerful full‑size SUV Patrol, which is highly regarded worldwide for its exceptional all‑terrain performance under demanding conditions. Refined by NISMO using the experience and advanced technologies cultivated through motorsport activities, the Patrol NISMO is equipped with a specially tuned 3.5‑liter V6 twin‑turbo engine. This engine delivers a maximum output of 495 horsepower and 700 Nm of maximum torque. Combined with an aerodynamically optimized exterior design and dedicated suspension tuning, the vehicle achieves sharp response and strong acceleration.
