Approximately one month after the running of the first Round 3 in Malaysia in 12 years, Round 4 of the 2025 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, the “FUJI GT SPRINT RACE” is to be held on Aug. 2 (Sat.) and Aug. 3 (Sun.). Unlike the regular rounds of the series, this Round 4 at Fuji, is run on the two days of Saturday and Sunday as sprint races competed by different drivers and held according to the schedule we describe here.
1.Drivers
Each team’s drivers will run separately, with the first driver racing on Saturday, while the second driver races on Sunday. – The first race’s driver can drive only in Saturday’s Official Practice, Circuit Safari, the Official Qualifying and the Race. – The first race’s driver cannot drive in any of the sessions held on Sunday. – The second race’s driver can drive only in Sunday’s Official Practice, the Official Qualifying and the Race. – The second race’s driver cannot drive in Saturday’s Circuit Safari and other sessions.

3.Official Practice
Both the Saturday and Sunday Official Practice sessions will be run for 40 minutes as joint-class sessions (including 10-min. FCY test) and 10 min. separate class sessions, for a total of 60 min.
4.Official Qualifying
GT300: 20 min. (no division into Groups), GT500: A 10-min. timed Qualifying session is held on Saturday.
5.Race 【No refueling required on either day, no driver changes, no required tire changes】
Race 1(Saturday): 35-lap race with GT500/300 classes running together (approx. 160 km/1 hr.) Race 2(Sunday): 50-min. race with the two classes running separately (approx. 115 km/25 laps)
6.Tires
– Number of tire sets allowed to be brought in: Dry 5 sets / Wet 7 sets. – Marking of all Dry-use tires is to be performed on scrutineering day. – Marking of all Qualifying-use tires is to be performed prior to Official Qualifying sessions. – The tires marked for Qualifying-use are to be used in the Race. – The usual rule that One extra set of dry-use tires per car is allowed for GT500 class teams whose tire manufacturer do not yet have a win does not apply here.
7.Points
– The number of series points awarded to the teams and drivers for Race 1 and Race 2 are half the number awarded for 300 km races. – As Qualifying points, one point is awarded to the pole position winners on Saturday and Sunday. *Note that the Qualifying Pole Position points won on Saturday by the Race 1 driver are also awarded to the Race 2 driver. In the same way, the different types of series points won by the Race 2 driver on Sunday are also awarded to the Race 1 driver.
