No.14 ENEOS X PRIME GR Supra Nirei Fukuzumi “From the start to the finish, we were able to win by holding off that fast car No. 1 (champions). This has given great confidence to the team and to me. Again today, we had to keep our eyes on No. 1 the whole time, and I kept on pushing without letting up for a moment. Yesterday was a regretful and sad race for car No. 14, and that experience surely led to today’s great result. I am grateful to everyone. This is my first win since coming to the Toyota team, and next I want to see us win in one of the usual long races. I truly want to say thank you to everyone!”
No.777 D’station Vantage GT3 Tomonobu Fujii “In the JAF Grand Prix (*) earlier as well, I had a good performance record. Since this is the same type of race, I was happy to run alone in a GT sprint race again. But today there was some real pressure (because the team had won Race 1 yesterday) so I really wanted to get pole position and worked hard to win the race. Especially, the team worked hard from yesterday to fix the car and it performed so well as a result, and the Dunlop tires also kept their strong grip throughout the race, so I owe this win to everyone.”
*From 2010 to 2013 sprint races held in a two-race format at Fuji not part of the SUPER GT series.
